After years of intensive research, the defense of a doctoral thesis always represents a highlight. Prof. Dr. Schaarschmidt was able to attend such an event at Aarhus University, Denmark. In his role as an external reviewer, he contributed to enriching the exchange between academic systems, reflecting on it in a differentiated way, and adding valuable international perspectives.
